Talbott steps down; hospital commission seeks replacement

Keri Talbott’s term as an elected official of San Juan Island hospital district expires in 2017. The hospital district will accept letter of interest, with qualifications, to fill the unexpired term; deadline is June 20. The commission anticipates questioning candidates and voting on a replacement when it meets June 25.

San Juan Island Hospital District Commissioner Keri Talbott stepped down from her elected position May 28.

Talbott, who’s tenure as hospital commissioner spanned seven years, cited family reasons for her resignation. Her husband, Jeremy, an EMT and former assistant harbormaster at the Port of Friday Harbor, will soon leave for Alaska to be harbormaster for the city of Valdez.
