Sheriff’s race voter forum – Meet Sheriff Ron Krebs and Sgt. Eric Peter

The League of Women Voters of the San Juans is hosting an in-person forum for the county-wide sheriff’s race. The event will be held at the Grange on San Juan Island on Oct. 6 starting at 6 p.m.

The LWV will also have a link available for those who cannot attend the meeting in person. Both candidates will be attending to explain why you should consider voting for them and answer your questions.

Ron Krebs

As a third-generation islander, Ron Krebs has been with the sheriff’s office since 2007. He brings a strong sense of community-oriented policing based on forging strong community relationships.

Sgt. Eric Peter

A five-year veteran of the San Juan County Sheriff’s office, Eric Peter is running on a platform of “relationships matter” and fostering a culture to ensure safety, communicate effectively, instill trust and embrace transparency.
