Submitted by San Juan County.
San Juan County Department of Health & Community Services invites local agencies or organizations that utilize peer support in their programs to review our Request for Proposal. This is a funding opportunity for peer work in San Juan County. All RFP submittals are due Wednesday, Nov. 19.
This opportunity is guided by the interest of the Human Services Advisory Board to support local peer work using local Behavioral Health Sales Tax dollars. This is the first new programming request using this fund recently, and the HSAB is excited to support the excellent peer work being done in the county.

About Behavioral Health Sales Tax
The Washington State Legislature, through RCW 82.14.460, authorized counties to implement a 0.1% local sales tax for behavioral health programs and services and for the operation of therapeutic courts. In December of 2008, the San Juan County Council adopted an ordinance authorizing the tax. The following programs in San Juan County are currently supported by these funds.
