Richard Fulton Schmalz Jr., 25, and Michaela Lynda Bennett, 23, will marry Sept. 12, 3 p.m., at 77 Little Road, Friday Harbor.

A reception will follow. They are registered at Bed Bath & Beyond.

The groom is the son of Richard and Ann Schmalz of Olympia. He grew up in Graham, graduated from Capitol High School, and earned a business administration degree at Western Washington University. He is manager of a Bank of America branch in Portland, Ore.

The bride is the daughter of Juli Bennett and Lori Wassenaar. She grew up in Ferndale, graduated from Ferndale High School, and attended Whatcom Community College. She is a personal banker at the Bank of America branch in downtown Portland.

The couple will honeymoon in Hawaii and make their home in Portland, Ore.
