Friday Harbor Town Council member Carrie Lacher, candidate for mayor, announced today a quick and easy way to let her know your concerns about the Town of Friday Harbor.

You can quickly post your comments and questions to her blog, www.carrielacher.blogspot.com.

“In today’s busy world, people need a fast and easy way to let their representatives know what’s on their minds,” she said in a press release. “My blog is a quick and effective way for people to let me know what their thinking about our town.”

Lacher has been a Town Council member for over a year and half. Of her candidacy for mayor, she said, “We sure have some big issues in front of us right now and more coming down the road. But I’m excited for Friday Harbor. I envision a strong, vibrant future for us but we can’t get there without identifying our priorities and working together on positive solutions.”

Lacher’s blog is an easily accessible place for town residents and interested county residents to leave their comments and also learn about issues and solutions she is focusing on.

Lacher said that during her tenure on the council, she has come to appreciate the value of differing opinions brought to the table to craft a solution no one person could have developed.

“It truly is an instance of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Now we have this great opportunity to get more voices working toward the most effective, most efficient, most financially prudent solutions.”

You can let Lacher know your thoughts about the town by posting to www.carrielacher.blogspot.com.

Lacher also serves as the chairwoman of the Solid Waste Advisory Committee, a member of the Joint Town/County Planning Policy Committee, and a member of the Housing Bank Commission.

“Friday Harbor is an amazing place to live and work. I am privileged to be able to represent and serve this community. I look forward to hearing from everyone.”
