The San Juan Community Home Trust will be holding an open house Dec. 18 from 4-7 p.m. with a program recap at 5:30 p.m. on their Argyle project. This project strives to build 40 affordable homes in the heart of Friday Harbor.

The Home Trust website states:

“The Home Trust is building up to 40 affordable rental homes, thoughtfully designed to complement our town’s historic charm. With $15 million from public loans and grants, these single- and multifamily units will provide much-needed housing while preserving our community’s character.

Completion is expected by 2027, thanks in part to the Home Fund, though we are still counting on 30% of the funding to come from local donors.”
