The Town of Friday Harbor is accepting nominations for two open positions on the Historic Preservation Review Board.

HPRB members are volunteers who are appointed by the Mayor for terms of two years, and are charged with carrying out the historic preservation elements of the Town of Friday Harbor’s Comprehensive Plan. The HPRB meets twice monthly at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: architect, architectural historian, planner, archaeologist, folklorist, cultural anthropologist, conservationist, landscape architect/preservationist, builder/contractor with preservation experience and other related disciplines.

Membership in the San Juan Historical Museum is encouraged, but not required.
