Greens recommend vote for Pratt, Linde

The local races in the Aug. 19 and Nov. 4 elections are non-partisan. But two candidates received a significant plug today from the county's largest third party.

The Green Party of San Juan County has recommended a vote for John Linde for San Juan County Superior Court judge and Lovel Pratt for San Juan County Council, San Juan South.

Tom Munsey of the San Juan County Green Party said the Greens use the term “endorsement” for Green Party candidates only. Other candidates receive a “vote for” recommendation.

The local Greens endorse:
— Duff Badgley for governor.
— Howard Pellett for state representative, 40th District.

The local Greens recommend:
— Jason Osgood for secretary of state.
— ChangMook Sohn for state treasurer.
— Brian Sonntag for state auditor.
— John Ladenburg for attorney general.
— Peter J. Goldmark for commissioner of public lands.
— Mary Fairhurst for Supreme Court justice.
— Charles W. Johnson for Supreme Court justice.
— Lovel Pratt for San Juan County Council, District 1.
— John O. Linde for San Juan County Superior Court judge.
