Fireworks show will precede this Fourth of July

Submitted by the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce.

The San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce our Fourth of July celebrations and that once again we will be having the Fourth of July Fireworks Show. As for the parade, we are going along with Gov. Jay Inslee’s proclamation that the state will have a complete re-opening on June 30 and we are working feverishly to hold a small parade. With the improving COVID conditions, rising vaccination rates and easing of restrictions, we have left no stone unturned in our due diligence with our planning to ensure everyone’s health and safety to the fullest extent possible.

We are working with the Town and our permit must still be reviewed and approved for safety, logistics and other issues. Enough volunteer and sponsorship support must be secured and enough people and groups need to register to participate/march in the parade.

The parade will be at a later time due to the area church schedules and we will announce the time and route this Wednesday. If you want to participate please download the application at www.sanjuanisland.org or if any questions please call 360-378-5240.
