Compass Health joins County Fair fundraising effort

Submitted by Compass Health.

Compass Health is raising donations for its “Therapeutic Treatment Enhancement Funds.” These funds support clients engaged in mental health and substance use disorder treatment access basic needs to remove roadblocks to recovery.

The campaign is part of the San Juan Island Community Foundation’s (SJICF) 2023 County Fair Giving Campaign, which invites community members to donate to local non-profits, including Compass Health, with the first $1,000 in donations being matched dollar-for-dollar by the Community Foundation. In total, Compass Health is hoping to raise $5,000.

“Therapeutic Treatment Enhancement Funds can play a key role in the success of individuals engaged in our mental health services,” said Ryan O’Donnell, director of outpatient services for Skagit, Island, and San Juan Counties at Compass Health. “These funds provide supplemental assistance to help clients overcome barriers they may be facing that are interfering with their ability to work on their mental wellness. We have seen individuals use them to help with things such as paying for their food handler permits or CPR/First Aid certifications to qualify for employment.”
