Cattle Point Road Speeding

At last weeks San Juan County Council meeting Director of Public Works Brian Vincent expressed concern over speeding on Cattle Point Road. He suggested a few options for encouraging people to slow down. He pointed out that there weren't enough speed limit signs on the road, and a speed display board could be the best option for encouraging drivers to slow down. He also mentioned laying plastic strips down across the road to encourage drivers to check their speed. A few other possibilities discussed were curbing, narrowing the road and vegetation in the road, however these were not met with as much enthusiasm due to several factors including cost and practicality.
