A benefit dinner for the family of Amanda Cartmill Cruz will be held Dec. 6, 1-4 p.m., at American Legion Post 163 in Friday Harbor.

Mrs. Cruz died unexpectedly on Nov. 12 at her home. She was 33. She was the wife of Ronald Cruz, and the mother of three, stepmother of two, and stepgrandmother of seven.

The dinner will be spaghetti, Caesar salad and garlic bread. The dinner is free, but donations are welcome. All donations will be for the Cruz family to help defray unexpected costs they have incurred.
