At Historical Museum and Mullis Center: A big day for garage sale fans Aug. 7

The San Juan Historical Museum’s annual garage sale is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the museum resource center, 405 Price St., Friday Harbor. It's a continuation of the sale from July 31. Bookcases, bedding, books, dishes, dolls, furniture and more. All proceeds will help support the museum’s programs and the restoration of its buildings. The annual Giant Parking Lot Sale at Mullis Community Senior Center begins at 9 a.m. More than 40 spaces have been booked and several candidates for San Juan County sheriff have also booked spaces.

Aug. 7 — Saturday — is a big day for garage sale fans.

Bonnie’s famous cinnamon rolls will be available at 9 a.m., along with hot coffee. At 11 a.m., master barbecuer Jeff Avery will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. Stop in for breakfast, do your shopping, and stay for lunch.

Teddy Deane and Jonathan Piff will provide music. Folk musician Mike Cohen will also perform.
