According to Northwest Multiple Listing Service News, in the San Juan Islands 347 residential houses and condominiums were listed for sale in August, with 52 new listings added to the market during the month. This is a decrease of 11.93 percent from last August, when there were 394 active residential houses and condominiums for sale. In August 2015, only 42 houses were listed.

Last month, there were 58 houses pending sale in the county, which is up from August 2015’s 42 houses, an increase of 38.1 percent.

More houses sold in August of 2016 than in 2015, rising from 31 to 37 closed sales. The median closing sale price for residential houses and condominiums rose from $433,100 in August 2015 to $455,000 in August of 2016. That is an increase of 5.06 percent.
