San Juan Golf & Tennis Club’s Winter Music Series continues Feb. 21 with the duo Baker and West — inspired by artists like The Civil Wars, Ingrid Michaelson, Chris Stapleton and The Beatles. Stephen’s storytelling lyrics and incredible vocal range, paired with Madison’s intricate melodies and calming voice, make them the perfect duo. Their voices blend together in songs with captivating lyrics and engaging instrumentation. They both grew up on the same small island but never met until returning home as graduates of Berklee College of Music.
On Feb. 28, Caleb Klauder and Reeb Willms will appear. For them, country music is soul music. Just as soul music resonates the mind, body and spirit with powerful rhythms and expressive vocals, so too does the reflective storytelling and crooning country music. These two are known to roots music fans across the globe for their soulful harmonies, driving dance tunes, classic original songs and commitment to the raw truth of rural American music. They are foundational to the exceptional old-time and country music scene in the Pacific Northwest.
This is a great opportunity to see live music in the off-season. These artists welcome the chance for a gig this time of year, and the series was sold out last year. There are limited tickets available for these two shows. More info on the artists and online tickets can be found at www.purplepass.com/wms. Get your ticket soon. Everyone is welcome!
