The Whale Museum is holding two open houses for anyone interested in volunteering with The Whale Museum’s Education & Museum departments (non-research). The open house events will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4, and Saturday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m. to noon, at The Whale Museum.
If you have some spare time and are interested in the Salish Sea and marine mammals, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Education & Museum Department staff will be available to discuss volunteer opportunities and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.
On-site volunteer opportunities include becoming a docent to educate visitors and youth about marine mammals, serving as a preschool/elementary teaching assistant and helping with museum programs/projects. No experience is necessary – training will be provided! Scheduling can be flexible. Open House attendance is not a requirement to volunteer at The Whale Museum.
