The San Juan Island Community Foundation is excited to announce the return of the SJI Cares Campaign at the San Juan County Fair, Aug. 14-17. This annual celebration of community generosity will spotlight 30 local nonprofit projects and the Women’s Fund, all working to strengthen our island community.
SJICF will match the first $1,000 raised for each featured project, encouraging donors to double their impact during the four-day campaign. Fairgoers will also have the chance to participate in interactive games to award bonus grants totaling $2,500 to the organizations of their choice.
“Community giving is the lifeline of our local nonprofits,” said Amy Saxe-Eyler, CEO of SJICF. “We’re so excited to launch another SJI Cares campaign at the County Fair — a beloved island tradition that brings people together to support essential services and programs that serve all of us. This year’s featured nonprofit project goals total $240,700, our biggest one yet! Come visit us at our fair booth in the main exhibition hall to learn more and donate to your favorite project!”
