Please join the San Juan Island Library at the Brickworks on Thursday, Feb.12, from noon to 7 p.m. for an open house about the New Library Building Project. The New Library Building Steering Committee will host a special library board meeting where the library’s architectural consultants present the new library conceptual designs. These designs, based on the community’s feedback collected during a series of four public meetings held in the fall of 2025, will be used to solicit additional comments from the community. Presentations take place at noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and will review the library’s progress on this project and the next steps. Opportunities for feedback will be available, and light refreshments will be served. Come and learn more!
Library staff can answer any questions at 360-378-2798 or sjlib@sjlib.org. Library programs and cards are free of charge to San Juan Island residents. In addition to its collections of books, videos, equipment, games, audiobooks and other materials to loan, the library also provides public access computers, Wi-Fi and a suite of databases that patrons can access in the library or at home. Library hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 3 p.m.
