Knowledge Bowl returns March 4 for a night of trivia, talent, and community spirit

“Whether you’re on stage or in the audience, Knowledge Bowl is one of those nights that reminds us how special this community is,” said Katie Fleming, board member of the San Juan Public Schools Foundation. “It’s fun, it’s fast-paced, and it directly supports our students and teachers.”

The San Juan Public Schools Foundation invites the community to its Annual Knowledge Bowl on Wednesday, March 4th, at the San Juan Community Theatre. This beloved tradition brings together students, service clubs, and local leaders for an energetic evening of Jeopardy-style trivia and friendly competition.

Hosted by Friday Harbor High School students Alison Power and Liam DeYoung, the event features seven teams: Friday Harbor Middle School 8th graders, combined high school teams (9th–10th and 11th–12th grades), and community teams representing the Soroptimists, Rotary Club, Lions, and Kiwanis.

The evening begins with a special performance by the Friday Harbor High School Jazz Band at 6:30 p.m., with trivia kicking off at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Attendees can enjoy treats from a combined PTO bake sale from schools across the district while cheering on their favorite team. A fundraising raffle will also offer exciting prizes, including a Roche Harbor getaway, a summer-long pass to the Roche Harbor pool, a 3-month membership to The REC, and an Xbox Series S console. The Foundation extends special thanks to round sponsors Roche Harbor Resort and The REC for their generous support.

Admission is $5, and all proceeds benefit the San Juan Public Schools Foundation’s work to enhance educational opportunities, support teachers, and empower student success throughout the district.
