Calling all comic book lovers, artists and superhero fans! The San Juan Island Library invites the community to celebrate Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 3, with a full day of free, family-friendly comic-themed fun.
Start your day in comic style! Join us at 10 a.m. for a Comic Book Read-In. Bring your favorite comic or check one out from our comic and graphic novel display. Free comics, swag and light refreshments will be available while supplies last, so come early and enjoy the magic of comics with fellow fans.
At 12:30 p.m., get ready to unleash your inner weirdo at the Comics for Weirdos workshop presented by Alchemy Art. This hands-on session is for ages 13 through adult and runs until 2 p.m. Space is limited, so please register in advance online at www.sjlib.org to reserve your spot!
Families are invited to dive into creativity at our Family Comic Book Makerspace, open for drop-in from 3-5 p.m. All ages are welcome to craft their own comics using fun supplies and plenty of inspiration. No experience necessary!
Free Comic Book Day is a national celebration of comics and graphic novels, and we’re thrilled to bring the excitement to San Juan Island. All activities are free and open to the public. Free comics and swag are available while they last.
