Vote yes on the Educational Programs and Operations Levy

I am writing to urge our community to vote YES on the Educational Programs and Operations Levy this February 10th. This levy isn’t just a budget line item; it is the foundation of our students’ daily success.

The funding is essential for maintaining small class sizes and protecting vital roles, including school nurses, counselors, and special education staff. It also preserves the vibrant programs that keep students engaged, from STEM and drama to the arts.

A standout example of this funding is the innovative “Food for Thought” program. By pairing professional chefs with local farm ingredients, the program provides high-quality nutrition while giving culinary arts students invaluable hands-on experience. Because we know that young minds need fuel to thrive, this program creates the meals where every K–5 student is offered breakfast and lunch at no cost via the state program.

Investing in our schools is an investment in our collective future. Please join me in supporting our students by voting YES on Feb. 10th.

Sincerely,

Chris Raichlen,
