I love libraries. They are magical places.

But 17 MILLION DOLLARS for a new library?! How about instead of purple light bulbs we give a couple of million to Domestic Violence Prevention and Child Protective Services?? Instead of a new library, how about we spend a couple of million on affordable housing, so we can competitively hire people for local jobs and help young people stay on the island? How about a couple of million to lobby and protest to the Washington State Ferry committees, so we can have reliable, on time, ferry service and can actually make appointments and obligations off island.

This is absolutely Not the time to try and make it mandatory for islanders to shoulder a 17 MILLION DOLLAR burden. Vote No on the library.
