Sweet scions

Tendrils of memory waft upward during “The Drawer Boy”, Island Stage Left’s current production at 1062 Wold Road. Three men seek truth after a long-ago head injury diverts lives, past and present. Loyalty, guilt and love drive action. The young actor presses for a playwright’s plot maturing to respect stories not his own, as two pensioners farm Ontario soil for sustenance and peace. Whether characters remain visible or invisible, real or imagined, this is a really good play. Showing Thursday-Sunday at 8 pm through Aug. 17.
