Hats off to ‘Home Tour’ supporters | Letters

I extend a sincere thank you to all who turned out in support of the San Juan Historical Museum’s Historic Home Tour on May, 18.

I extend a sincere thank you to all who turned out in support of the San Juan Historical Museum’s Historic Home Tour on May, 18.

We are appreciative of the goodwill toward the Historical Museum from island residents and visitors alike, who took part in the tour. The attendance of many longtime islanders who offered personal remembrances of the homes, added a special element to the event.

Our special thanks to those who committed time and energy to ensure a successful event. To our generous sponsors: Kings Market, Islanders Bank, San Juan Interiors, Browne’s Home Center, VanderYacht Propane, Coldwell Banker, and Friday Harbor Electric.

To homeowners: Michael Jean and Sidney Smith, Carol Anderson, Christian and Lea Andrade, and Janet Wilson for opening their beautiful historic homes.

To our good partners at San Juan Island National Historical Park: Lee Taylor, Mike Vouri, Doug Halsey and Raena Parsons for offering the first-ever public access to the iconic Crook House at English Camp, and to all our volunteers for your tireless efforts in staging the event.

Kevin Loftus, Director, SJ Historical Museum
