The Explanatory Statement with the EMS Levy renewal ballot, written by Richard Davis, Hospital District Attorney, is false. It states that the current levy “expires in 2021.” The current levy began in 2016 and ends at year-end 2022.

Also, statements that EMS services will end at the end of 2022 are not true. If the levy fails the Fire and Hospital District Boards would be forced to cooperate with integration, and the Fire District already has a plan and license in place to provide full-spectrum EMS services.

Vote No on the current EMS levy, for more cost-effective and responsive EMS.
