Construction kudos | Letter

I would like to thank the construction crew, the contractors, the city and county officials and our community for the great job that is being done on the renovation of Tucker Avenue. I am grateful for the new drainage system, the new sidewalks and the soon-to-be new pavement. Sure, it’s been a bit of an inconvenience living a block away (and imagine what it’s like for those actually living on the avenue!) but the long-term benefits are tremendous: improved flood control, attractive street and lighting and sidewalks that make our town safer and walkable. I particularly appreciate the sidewalks that so many pedestrians — including school-age children — use on a daily basis. Many thanks to everyone who has made this possible.
