The EDC, the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce and multiple Washington state governmental agencies, as part of the Small Business Liaison Team, invite business owners, startup entrepreneurs and managers to a free in-person event, the Small Business Requirements & Resources Workshop on Tuesday, March 10 from 5-7 p.m., at Friday Harbor House, and will be simulcast online. Light refreshments will be served.

Workshop leaders from the SBLT will provide participants with an overview of Washington state governmental regulations, ways to increase business income, finding solutions to common entrepreneurship problems, and avoiding future regulatory and compliance issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about issues that they are facing as business owners, of individual agencies, including the secretary of state, the Department of Revenue and the Department of Licensing, without giving personally identifiable information.

This Small Business Requirements & Resources Workshop is presented by the Small Business Liaison Team, a collaborative group of Washington state agencies representatives providing small businesses with the tools, resources and information needed to plan, start and grow their businesses in Washington state. Washington state agencies include: the Governor’s Office for Regulatory Innovation & Assistance, Commission on Hispanic Affairs, Secretary of State Corporations & Charities Division, Department of Commerce, Department of Enterprise Services, Department of Labor & Industries, Department of Licensing, Department of Revenue, Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises, and the Washington Secretary of State. The event is hosted by the EDC and the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce, and co-sponsored by the Governor’s Office for Regulatory Innovation & Assistance and Friday Harbor House.
