The Lynnwood Tigers defeated the San Juan Dragons 16-7 Saturday and claimed the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association Division II state championship, at Seattle’s Memorial Stadium.
And so the Dragons’ remarkable season comes to an end: The Skagit Conference title, five spots on the All-Conference Team, and division leaders in assists, goals, groundball recovery and saves.
The San Juan Dragons’ Michael Ausilio and Kyle Skoog scored in the third quarter but the Lynnwood Tigers went man-up and broadened their lead to 16-6 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Lynnwood senior captain Alex Tindall scored three goals in the third quarter to help his team take a 10-goal lead.
