Looking for a good service project for Monday, January 19th? Land Bank staff has 2,500 wildflower plugs looking for a home above the Goldenback Trail at Westside Preserve on San Juan Island. We would love help in completing this habitat restoration project!
The more hands the faster the work can get done! The planting party is scheduled for 10am to 2pm,however any block of time would be greatly appreciated.
For those that enjoy the hike, park at the third pullout at Westside Preserve, across from the Goldenback Trailhead, and hike up to meet staff (click here, https://sjclandbank.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Westside_map800.jpg for preserve map). If that doesn’t work for you, email Tanja at tanjaw@sjclandbank.org to work out a carpool/shuttle with staff to get you to the site.
Please bring any favorite gardening tools you’d like to use, and if you have a friend that’s been interested in native plants, bring ‘em along! Oh, and there will be snacks!
