The Town of Friday Harbor received the Risk Management Achievement Award from the Association of Washington Cities Risk Management Service Agency for the second year in a row. According to AWC, the award recognizes the Town’s hard work and dedication to proactively manage its risks, improve community safety and contribute to lower insurance costs.
“Utilizing excellent risk management practices is especially important with today’s skyrocketing insurance premiums,” said Town Administrator Denice Kulseth, adding that actively managing liability risks helps keep Town operations running effectively and promotes a more resilient community.
RMSA is a municipal risk pool protecting the employees, assets and officials of 112 of Washington’s cities, towns and special purpose districts from property and liability risks and costs with the goal of solving problems before they happen.
