Voting YES for the San Juan County Public Hospital District No. 1 levy lid lift in November may be the most important and direct thing you can do to keep essential healthcare services viable on the island. Currently, the Hospital District provides and operates the following:
Emergency Medical Services – first responders who are on duty 24/7. These professionals and ambulances provide crucial connections to both on and off island care.
Village at the Harbor – the only assisted living facility in San Juan County. District funding helps ensure that spots are available at Village at the Harbor for Medicaid recipients.
Village at Home – this service works with Community Paramedicine EMTs to bridge the gap to connect people with essential resources needed to stay in their homes as they age.
I am grateful for the leadership of the Board of Commissioners for the Public Hospital District No.1. They and the staff have demonstrated that they can manage our public resources responsibly and continue to innovate in challenging circumstances. Their dedication and expertise help to ensure that these services are there when we need them.
Please join me in voting YES for the San Juan County Public Hospital District No. 1 levy lid lift in November.
Respectfully,
Sam Gibboney
