Washington State Ferries is busy on all holiday weekends, and Labor Day weekend is no exception. So far this summer in June and July, ridership has increased almost 2% from last year on the Anacortes/San Juan Island routes. We have had over 558,800 customers travel with us in the San Juan Islands in June and July and expect a spike in the number of travelers over Labor Day weekend.

On Monday, Sept. 5, all San Juan Islands/Anacortes vessels will sail on the Sunday sailing schedule. Please remind those traveling over the holiday to make reservations, and walk on if possible. If they’ve already made a reservation, they need to pass through the toll booth 30 minutes in advance.
