An evening of appetizers and drinks on the Plaza followed by dinner will be on Sept. 25, from 5-9 p.m., at Brickworks.
A raffle and auction featuring local food will also be a part of the benefit event for the Agricultural Guild. You will have a chance to mingle and experience a range of mouthwatering appetizers and drinks.
Against a backdrop of classical music from Sasha Von Dassow, there will be a meal, featuring the best seasonal ingredients picked from our local farms and lovingly created by The Market Chef. Take part in a raffle and auction, hosted by the inimitable Bo Turnage and featuring special culinary experiences: Sail away to a pizza party for ten on Brown Island with regional wines; enjoy an exclusive fall bread-baking class with Gretchen Allison; treat yourself to a fabulous dinner event at Jones Family Farm on Lopez; and more one-of-a-kind adventures and goodies. The funds raised will help to further the Ag Guild’s mission of fostering a vibrant, resilient and sustainable local agriculture and food system in San Juan County, and will go towards supporting our ongoing operational costs, the implementation of the new San Juan County Food Hub Project, and a landscaping plan for the plaza and green space for Brickworks. Brickworks has become a wonderful home for the San Juan Island farmers market, and a popular community venue enjoyed by a range of local non-profits, individuals and businesses for parties, workshops, classes, food-processing, weddings, meetings, art festivals and concerts.
Tickets are $75 (drinks included; to benefit the Ag Guild) and are available for purchase at Griffin Bay Bookstore, Market Chef, Bakery San Juan or by emailing info@fhbrickworks.com and 378-0095.
