Elected officials host public Meet and Greet

Several San Juan County elected officials held an informal meet and greet with the public in the County Council chambers in Friday Harbor Saturday, Jan. 28.

San Juan County elected officials held an informal meet and greet titled “Meet Your Elected Officials” at the county council hearing room Friday Harbor Saturday, Jan. 28. In attendance was County Council Chair Cindy Wolf (District 2, Orcas Island), County Clerk Lisa Henderson, and Superior Court Judge Kathryn ‘Katie’ Loring joined by newly elected Councilmember Jane Fuller (District 3, Lopez Island), Sheriff Eric Peter, Prosecuting Attorney Amy Vira, and Auditor Natasha Warmenhoven.

Each elected official provided some personal and professional background about themselves and their roles and responsibilities before breaking into an informal gathering to meet with the public.

The informal events are meant to offer the public an opportunity to meet newly elected and re-elected officials, ask questions, and learn about priorities for 2023.

A second county meet and greet was held on Orcas Island Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Orcas Senior Center.

One more “Meet Your Elected Officials” event is scheduled for Saturday, March 11 1:15-2:15 p.m. at the Lopez Community Center (204 Village Rd, Lopez Village).
