EMS Management Experience – Fire Vs PHD

Why do I believe Islanders should VOTE NO on the EMS Levy?
Please consider the relative MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE of Fire vs the PHD.
SAN JUAN ISLAND FIRE AND RESCUE DISTRICT #3:
Commissioners have 60+ years cumulative elected experience, with National Fire
Academy and Incident Command Instructors.
They have extensive (60+ years) Fire and EMS systems management experience.
The Chief has 15 years as Fire Chief, 32 years as PARAMEDIC and many years as a
Fire and EMS Training Officer.
SAN JUAN ISLAND EMS UNDER PUBLIC HOSPITAL DISTRICT #1:
PHD Commissioners have 13 years cumulative experience as commissioners
(2 years each for 4 of them) and ZERO EMS EXPERIENCE.
Instead of a Career Fire Chief the PHD has only a lay administrator with multiple duties and ZERO EMS EXPERIENCE. Management experience is essential to the effective operation of EMS and is only earned over time. Support integration of Fire and EMS — VOTE NO on the PHD EMS LEVY.
