Jean Van Leuven: 1944—2015 | Passages

Jean Van Leuven, a 31-year-resident of Friday Harbor, has lost her two-year battle with cancer.

Jean and husband Bob were the founders of Western Prince Cruises, Friday Harbor’s first whale-watching company.

Jean is survived by Bob, her husband of 42 years, her brother Jack Martin, and many nieces and nephews.

At her request, there will be no services, and her ashes will be scattered on the waters that she loved.

Kudos to the heroic efforts of Friday Harbor paramedics, Airlift NW and the cancer care units of Peace Island and St. Joseph’s.
