Nationally-known environmental author, Todd Wilkinson, and Cascadia Wildlands executive director, Bob Ferris, will be at Griffin Bay Bookstore , Oct. 25, 1:30 p.m.
The event is part of the “Two Talking Wolves” tour, sponsored by Cascadia Wildlands, and the pair will discuss the book “Last Stand: Ted Turner’s Quest to Save a Troubled Planet.”
The book, written by Wilkinson, chronicles Turner’s conservation work of “rewilding the West, with wolves and grizzly bears, to raising 50,000 bison, and his political contributions to prevent nuclear disaster.
Wilkinson spent 7 years observing Turner’s role as an “eco-capitalist-humanitarian.” The book is wrought with transparency and the transformation of the subject.
Ferris is a trained scientist and active leader in conservation and sustainability efforts. He is known for his work with wolf recovery in the west.
Cascadia Wildlands is a non-profit, environment agency working to protect millions of acres of wild forests and rivers from northern California to south-central Alaska.
