Seattle musician Kris Orlowski will celebrate the release of his new album with an all ages show at the historic Howard Homestead Barn on San Juan Island, Saturday, Feb. 8.
Orlowski’s latest album includes the song “Believer,” which is featured in a music video shot on San Juan Island and that stars more than a dozen island children playing the roles of super heroes and bullies.
Directed by Ransom & Reason of Seattle and produced by Friday Harbor’s Jennifer Beck-Furber, the Believer video aired Dec. 11 to a packed house at the Palace Theater in a special showing.
In addition to Orlowski and his band, the album release celebration will include a performance by Motopony, a five-piece Seattle-based band guided by Daniel Blue, who directed the “Believer” video through his production company, Ransom & Reason.
Beer and wine will be available for purchase in the barn’s bar area. The Earth Box Inn and Spa is providing discounted lodging for out-of-town visitors and shuttle service will be provided from Earthbox to the show.
Tickets for the event are $17 for adults, $8 for kids.
