Eye for solutions; Hughes in Dist. 2 | Letters

I am writing to give my support to Rick Hughes for the Orcas representative for County Council.

As a local physician and community member I have known and worked closely with Rick for the last five years. As the operator of Rays Pharmacy, I have been impressed with his efforts to support our community, including the drug take-back program and accepting medicaid prescriptions at the pharmacy. He is always ready to listen and help create solutions.

He has demonstrated his interest in aging care and long-term medical solutions for all islanders through his work at the pharmacy and as a member of the county health board. Through his support of local agriculture, the farmers market and the farm-to-cafeteria program, he is helping to make a healthy and sustainable environment for us all.
