Christensens to celebrate 50th anniversary, Saturday, on San Juan Island

It all began with a chance meeting at Lime Kiln State Park.

Now, five decades later, John and Donna (Wilson) Christensen are headed back to San Juan Island to celebrate 50 years of marriage, and the couple are welcoming islanders to join in the celebration at the site of their wedding reception 50 years ago, the Grange Hall in Friday Harbor.

The festivities are Saturday, Dec. 1, 1-4 p.m.
