“Water’s Edge”: underwater tour of San Juan shorelines—by video

Published 11:33 am Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Hidden forces and creatures that often go unseen are busy at work at the water’s edge the San Juans.

Catch a glimpse of what goes on just beyond the shore and gain a better understanding of nature at work by joining in on an underwater tour, by video, entitled “The Invisible Shoreline”, Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Mullis Center, 589 Nash Street.

Presented by John F. Williams of Still Hope Productions, “The Invisible Shoreline” provides viewers with a diver’s perspective of the island’s nearshore habitat and highlights the many things that can either be too small or too slow to see with the naked eye, or that are hidden in the water, or in plain sight.

Sponsored by the Stewardship Network of the San Juans, in partnership with Still Hope Productions, the video’s presentation, entitled “Water Edge”, is a free event.
