Little League is pleased to announce a new addition to our local community-The Challenger Division! Our Challengers are gearing up for a fun filled weekend of baseball and would like to extend an invitation to the community to join us for Opening Day on April 21, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Linde Baseball Field.

About Friday Harbor Challenger Little League

The fundamental goal of the Friday Harbor Challenger Little League is to provide an opportunity for individuals with intellectual and physical challenges to enjoy the benefits of Little League in an environment structured to their abilities. Games are non-competitive and focus on developing a love of baseball.

Little League is a community-based organization that brings the diamond sport of baseball to families in our town. A chartered member of Little League International, our league operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is run by volunteers from the community we live in. The league allows children to learn our great pastime while providing opportunities for players of varying ability levels to participate.

Sponsorship Opportunities

You may have noticed a few of our Challenger League players around town this week working hard to find community sponsors. While a nominal fee for participation in youth sports is usually charged to families of players, Friday Harbor Challenger Little League does not charge players to participate in the Challenger program. We believe registration costs should not be a barrier for any player wanting to participate in the game. The league relies solely on donations to operate the program and keep up with facility needs, including field fees and uniforms. These funds are raised from local community donations and through local sponsorships. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please let us know!
