There will be a live and silent auction and a chance to eat all the lasagna you can handle. Dinner is lasagna, salad, bread, fruit crisp, iced tea and lemonade. High school team members will be on hand to serve and answer any questions that you may have about the auction items or about the team. All the money raised will go toward travel expenses, gas and off-island regattas.

The San Juan Island Sailing Team invites you to its annual Lasagna Dinner at the San Juan Island Yacht Club, Tuesday from 5:30-8 p.m.

There will be a live and silent auction and a chance to eat all the lasagna you can handle. Dinner is lasagna, salad, bread, fruit crisp, iced tea and lemonade. High school team members will be on hand to serve and answer any questions that you may have about the auction items or about the team. All the money raised will go toward travel expenses, gas and off-island regattas.

Tickets can be purchased at the door, $12 for adults and $8 for kids.

Get your feet wet
Thursday night racing is back by popular demand.

With new and improved racing strategies, the San Juan Sailing Foundation invites the community for a four-week racing series that start around 5:30 p.m. on May 22. Meet at the Net Shed at Jackson’s Beach.

Right after sailing team practice and before the sun goes down, the foundation will have the course set and the boats rigged. All you need to do is show up with a fun attitude and an appetite for winning.

For $60, you get four weeks of sailing in the foundation’s Vanguard 15s and a family membership to the San Juan Sailing Foundation. Each individual week will cost $20.
