Before we had a standing army in l776, having “a well-regulated militia” was no doubt needed. Authorities had to know who was armed and ready to train as a functioning militia.

Now, with so many arms-bearing people supposedly yearning for a call to defend something, why should it be our long-suffering teachers who get drafted into the well-regulated militia?

And the REAL reason for the attackers’ acts? Celebrity. Television.
