July 13 – Crow Valley String Band and Brothers for Sale

This family of four is originally from the British Isles and currently resides in the Crow Valley on Orcas. Their unique combination of bluegrass and British Isles folk music will warm the heart and lift the spirit. These versatile musicians create their unique sound with a combination of fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bouzouki, upright bass, voice, and on occasion, the tenor banjo and button accordion. The youngest in the group, Tashi and Kaj, have performed regularly in their own band, Brother for Sale!, from Seattle’s Benaroya Hall to Edinburgh’s Whiski, and are the youngest group to ever perform at the annual Doe Bay Fest.

July 20 – Global Heat

A fresh Neo-soul/hip-hop sound will be filling the park in the middle of the week of July 20 when Global Heat drives up from Seattle to perform. Member Justin Murtha is a veteran of the hip-hop scene, having worked with notable names in hip-hop such as Cee Lo Green (The Voice), Macklemore, and Method Man. While the group is based in Seattle, they have performed in over 30 countries and toured throughout the Asian Pacific.

July 27 – Joy in Mudville

This Port Angeles group combines old-time bluegrass, folk, rock, country, blues & funk in a Grateful Dead-esque show. These veterans of the Northwest Jam Band scene will be the catalyst to mid-week dancing in the grass for islanders.

Aug. 3 – Fidalgo Swing

Get taken back to a time when swing and smooth jazz topped the charts and filled the hottest night clubs with Fidalgo Swing. Their Big Band sound will have you tapping your toes until sundown. Their Creator Allen Lewis has traveled up and down the coast perfecting his sound before settling in Anacortes and creating Fidalgo Swing.

Aug. 10 – The Crocs

To cap this summer music series, an improvisational, indie, funk, Latin, reggae, folk, rock band called The Crocs will be coming up from Port Angeles, and they will be bring a combined 150 years of musical experience with them. They will be playing covers of all your favorite classics to close the summer season.
