They’re kicking off grand opening events with a homebuyers’ class from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 31. Snacks will be provided. Hosted by branch manager and local Lauren Sands, the class will familiarize students with peculiarities of buying in the San Juan Islands; what to expect during the mortgage process; how to understand rate quotes and closing costs; loan programs available; and basic underwriting guidelines. Knowledge is empowering, making for a smooth ride from accepted offer to close.
