Join the fight against hunger at Friday Harbor’s Fourth of July Parade!

Submitted by the Friday Harbor Food Bank.

This Independence Day, let’s celebrate not only our freedom but also our community spirit! The Friday Harbor Food Bank invites you to take part in a Super Hero Food Drive during the annual Fourth of July Parade.

As the parade marches through town, keep an eye out for our Super Hero Food Bank Volunteers — a dedicated team of everyday heroes ready to collect your non-perishable food donations right from the parade route!

With heartfelt thanks to SJIYC and its amazing members for kicking off our food drive in style — with two patriotic “Ford Lightning EV” superhero parade floats and a generous donation — we’ll be proudly showcasing the pounds of food collected throughout the day, celebrating the incredible impact we can achieve when our community unites.

Hunger doesn’t take a holiday, and food insecurity is a battle worth fighting. Let’s ensure that everyone in our beautiful island community has access to nourishing meals. Grab a can, a box or a bag of non-perishables and be a part of something truly special this Fourth of July.

Every donation — big or small — makes a difference. Together, we can win this fight!

Don’t know what to donate!?! Here’s a list: Peanut butter, canned tuna, canned corn, canned diced tomatoes or boxed cereal
