Enrollment for ‘Young Environmentalists Art Program’ now open

Submitted by Alchemy Art Center

Alchemy Art Center is offering this incredible, free program for middle school and high-school age students for a 4th year- apply by March 14th to be considered!

Alchemy’s ever popular Young Environmentalists Program, now in its 4th year, is enrolling through next week! Please help us spread the word to kids (middle and high school) who care about art and the environment.

Young Environmentalists is a multifaceted program dedicated to cultivating collaboration and uplifting youth voices. Areas of focus this year will be printmaking, painting, storytelling, creative writing, zines, theater (backdrop painting, set design, acting, costumes, concept), and more- all with a focus on creating a better future!

This program runs Monday afternoons and Saturdays from March 24-May 24 and features incredible guest speakers and teachers from our island community.

Thanks to generous support from the Madrona Foundation and the Horizons Foundation, this program will once again be offered free of charge! This is an incredible chance for students to take a deep dive into a variety of artistic forms and learn to express themselves effectively through art. This program is geared toward youth aged 12-15, but applicants outside of this age range will be considered as well.
