Island Rec offers girls basketball league on San Juan

It is time to register for the Island Rec’s girls basketball league, open to all girls in grades second through eighth. The focus of this league is the development and improvement of individual and team skills. Previous basketball experience is not required. All games are played every Sunday at the Friday Harbor High School’s Turnbull Gym. Participants practice twice a week beginning the week of Jan. 7.

Register online at islandrec.org or stop by the Island Rec office. An early registration fee of $45 expires on Dec. 20. The final deadline to register is Jan. 3 for a fee of $50. Call 360-378-4953 for more information or if you are interested in volunteering.
