Join trail construction at the Mount Grant Preserve this fall. Volunteers will work from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturdays, Oct. 13 and Oct. 20, and Wednesdays, Oct. 10, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24. Trail construction will involve brushing, limbing and transplanting vegetation; moving rocks, timbers and brush piles; and grubbing and grading trail surfaces.

Volunteers will meet and park in the vicinity of the lower road junction, where you would take a left to get to the current “nonmotorized” route to the top.

Bring gloves, sturdy boots and eye protection. Staff will have some tools available, but feel free to bring your own handsaws, pruners, grub hoes, pick adze and more.

RSVP to tanjaw@sjclandbank.org or 360-378-4402.
